Q.) HOW MUCH DOES THE APP COST?

A.) Nothing — it’s FREE. Simply visit the link below to download the app from the app store and you’re good-to-go! You may want to check with your cell phone provider to see if any usage costs apply.

Q.) IS THE APP AVAILABLE ON iPHONE OR JUST ANDROID?

A.) BOTH. Whether you’re an Apple enthusiast or an Android aficionado, you’re able to build your financial confidence with Illuminate™.

Q.) WHAT CAN I DO WITH THE APP?

A.) Illuminate™ makes managing money simple. It allows you to view all of your financial accounts in one location, including those with other financial institutions. Check account balances, recent transactions and even review spending and budgets. Every transaction is automatically categorized so you can easily monitor spending. Bubble budgets help you understand the health of your spending instantly.

Q.) WHAT SECURITY MEASURES HELP PROTECT MY FINANCIAL INFORMATION?

A.) We use industry accepted standards, protocols and precautions to protect your Personally Identifiable Information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards, including using firewall barriers, encryption techniques, authentication procedures, and 256-Bit SSL (secure socket layer) encryption.

Q.) HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT MY FINANCIAL INFORMATION IS SAFE IF MY MOBILE DEVICE IS LOST OR STOLEN?

A.) In addition to creating a specific login and password that you will enter once you open the app, you can also create a special passcode for this app itself. To set this up, go to Settings > App Lock and follow the prompt. Once you create this passcode, no one but you will be able to access your financial information.

Q.) DOES THE APP SAVE ANY INFORMATION ON MY MOBILE DEVICE?

A.) For quick access to data, some data is stored on your device. Data on your device is encrypted and can be further protected by setting a Passcode on the app as well as a Passcode on your device. Unlinking or logging out of the app removes data from the device and requires a full sync the next time you link your device.

Q.) I’M HAVING ISSUES WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT AN ACCOUNT. WHAT CAN I DO?

A.) That’s frustrating! See if these steps help:

1) Check that you’re using the correct username and password.

2) If you’re sure that your credentials are correct, but they don’t seem to work on Illuminate, delete the account and re-add it.

3) Still not working? Submit a support ticket by navigating to “Help and Legal” and submitting a “Support Request”. Tell us as much as you can, such as:

  • What’s the account and the URL? (e.g., Chase Bank, www.chase.com
  • What’s the specific error message you’re getting?
  • What security requirements does the account require? (e.g., image verification, security question)
  • Can you log into your account’s website directly?

The more we know, the faster we can get your account up to speed. We will respond to you within one business day.
